Rare disease diagnosis - a new way of living


Did you know that around 350,000 children and young people in Switzerland are affected by a rare disease? This brings great challenges for the affected families: parents who are at the edge of their strength, siblings who are short-changed, financial worries, and often isolation and struggles with insurance companies. In order to confidently accompany these families on their new path in life after the diagnosis "rare disease", the non-profit Association for the Support of Children with Rare Diseases (KMSK) was founded on 20.2.2014 by the entrepreneur Manuela Stier .

The Swiss Personalized Health Network is a national initiative under the leadership of the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMS).
